Warner Bros backs a project is an adaptation of the TA Barron's fantasy series

Oprah Winfrey recently ended her impossible-to-top talk show, but things have moved on as usual for her crew. Now one of the show’s script readers Ed Whitworth has been hired to write a script for a project called The Lost Years of Merlin. From what I hear the Warner Bros backed project is an adaptation of the first book in TA Barron's fantasy series, and is an origin story of the legendary wizard. Those of you who have read the books will know that it follows his journey from being a boy washed on the shores of Wales with no memory to learning to use his powers to defending the natural world to eventually mentoring King Arthur. The Lost Years of Merlin will be made on a very lavish budget, and is clearly the studio’s plan for life after the Harry Potter series. Well, that’s definitely a very tough act to follow!
