Mumbai: The two Khans of the Hindi film industry - Salman and Aamir are vying to praise each other, this time the Dabangg star calling his buddy Aamir an 'encyclopedia'.
The actor gave the Lagaan star the sobriquet during the launch of the promo of Chillar Party, a film produced under the Salman Khan Being Human productions (SKBH).
The fun film, about a gang of innocent yet feisty kids, has characters named as Encyclopedia, Secondhand', 'Panauti', 'Silencer', 'Aflatoon' and 'Shaolin'.
Asked whom he would call these nick names in real life, Salman said, "Aamir would definitely be 'Encyclopedia'. He is number one in the industry."
Earlier, during the release of the theatrical promo of his home production Delly Belly Aamir had said, Salman's energy, funk and charm was his USP.
Wearing a T-shirt that read 'Are you Ready for Chillar Party' for the event, the actor, who was all excited about his first home production, said the film will take everyone down memory lane and make them revisit their childhood.
"The film will definitely remind each and every person of their childhood. Parents will get to learn a lot from these kids. Chillar Party, co-produced by Ronnie Screwwala, releases on July 8.

Salman Khan heads to Bangalore to attend CCL opening ceremony

Imran Khan and Kiran Rao at Delhi Belly D.K. Bose song success bash

Subhash K. Jha speaks about Ready

She's a runaway bride. He's a runaway rogue, a little rough around the edges but a good-hearted lovable soul. Salman Khan can play this character over and over again with his eyes closed. In Ready, he is back to playing the lover-boy clown. Mr Fix-It and Ms Hum Aapke Hain Conwoman flirt and get naughty in exotic locations. They don't generate chemistry. They are just being around.

Jeez, these two never tire of saying cheese! And when the going gets cheesy there's always the family to fall back on. There are three families creaking at the joints, living in homes that appear to have been built to accommodate over-sized families .The setting is almost laughably anachronistic.

Salman Khan and his director Anees Bazmee pay a hefty comic homage to Hum Aapke Hain Kaun . The Salman-Asin romance unfolds against the backdrop of a commodious joint family where every family-member seems determined to have a good time even at the expense of good taste.

True, Asin lacks the gamine charm of Madhuri Dixit. But then the Salman Khan in Ready is not quite the Salman Khan from Hum Aaapke Hain Kaun. He hasn't aged. He's just become more smug and self-confident. Many times we catch him looking bored on camera. But that this iconic star's style statement. When you are Salman Khan, you can slip out of character when you want. No one is complaining.

Bazmee's script, a shoot-off of a Telugu hit, accommodates more characters than Goa during the tourist season. Every character is over-dressed and over-the-top. Then men are constantly looking for reasons to say goofy corny things to one another. That's the required mood of this panga-'mirth'-lena comedy with an attitude that stretches from one end of the lengthy narration to the other with hardly a break for the plot to gather together its thoughts.

Arshad isn't itching to direct anymore

A year back, Arshad Warsi had declared that he would be venturing into directing a film soon. The film's name was announced as Akkad and it was also being rumoured that Priyanka Chopra would be roped in as the leading lady, something that Arshad had promptly denied. However as things stand today, Arshad has indefinitely put his direction plans on hold and is unsure about when would he take the plunge.

"When Arshad had turned producer with Hum Tum Aur Ghost, he was mighty excited to move up in the ladder and also direct a film. He was actively working on the film's script and had told people in his inner circles that he would be adopting the style of Guy Ritchie after being influenced by films like Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and RocknRolla", informs a close associate.

He had then said, "I am going to shoot Akkad in way that Bollywood audience hasn't witnessed yet. My style would have a Guy Ritchie feel to it but the overall narrative would be far simpler. The audience should eventually understand what a film was all about. Yes, I know that there is a lot of difficulty involved in it but I am up for the challenge."

However it is clear that the challenge would have to wait for a while and here is a reason why. Post the success of Ishqiya and Golmaal 3, Arshad wants to concentrate entirely on acting with multiple assignments coming his way.

"I had said that I wanted to make a film; I never said it would be this year", chuckles Arshad when reminded of his resolve, "To become a director, you need to spend at least 1.5-2 years and drop everything else. I don't want to do that as the kind of scripts that are coming to me are amazing. I first want to work on them in the capacity of an actor."

This also means that there are no immediate plans for Arshad to kick-start another production soon after the dismal commercial response to Hum Tum Aur Ghost.

"It's all about time. You need to invest a lot of time when you are producing a film. I haven't dropped production plans but they are certainly on hold. At least till 2012 end I am concentrating entirely on acting. Production as well as direction can wait till then", he says.

Talk to you again Arshad in 2013.

Prakash Jha nearly gets steamrollered while shooting

Not many know this but Prakash Jha is the most accident-prone director. And that's because he likes to take risks as much as he loves taking risky shots. On several occasions he has been very close to catastrophic accidents on his own sets because of his penchant for stretching his neck out.

Last week while doing patch-work shooting for Aarakshan, Prakash nearly got run over by a steam roller. Apparently, he was shooting a steam-roller from ground-level lying down prostrate on the ground holding the camera, when the mobile steamroller almost ran over his head.

Says an eyewitness, "We don't know what happened. But Prakash kept shooting the steamroller from the ground as it approached him. And the steamroller missed his face by inches. We were all shaken. But Prakashji seemed okay with the near-miss."

Says Prakash, "This wasn't the first time when I've been almost killed. Very often during shoots I lean too much out in a crane shot, or call 'cut' too close to disaster. Chalta hai. What is life without risks?"

Yash Chopra, Rakeysh Mehra, Shabana Azmi & Punit Malhotra watch West Is West

Producer Leslee Udwin of the multi award winning British film East Is East and the recent sequel to it, West Is West was in an upbeat mood last night at the Yash Raj Studios. And who wouldn't be when you have a standing ovation from the likes of Yash Chopra, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Shabana Azmi, Punit Malhotra, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Puja Gupta, Vaishali Desai, Pawan Malhotra, Govind Nihalani, Sudhir Mishra, Ehsaan and Loy.

Leslee Udiwin was in town and kept a discreet media free screening of her film West Is West for a group of selected film personalities to see the first response of her highly anticipated sequel to East Is East. The cast including Om Puri and Ila Arun were also present. But what shocked the guests present was the sheer passion with which Leslee introduced herself and her film.

She greeted the guests in Hindi, actually, fluent Hindi. Then thanked Yash Chopra, Om Puri, Ila Arun and Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy for their contribution to the film. And then in a matter of minutes, the curtains drifted apart and the cinematic spectacle began.

But it was the aftershock that Leslee was surprised with. West Is West was loved by all for its strong and poignant story telling. While the distinguished guests cheered and laughed at every possible 'abuse' coming from George Khan (Om Puri), they were all smitten by the young British talent Sajid played by Aqib Khan. Even Ila Arun was seen as a revelation in the film with her intensely strong portrayal of a married Muslim woman living without a husband in Pakistan.

Overall, West Is West received adulation from all the celebrity guests present more than just the cliche applaud. The night ended with Yash Chopra cutting a special West Is West cake giving out the message loud and clear that the films sweetness was entrenched in its honest story telling more than just some award winning performances.

Running in its fifteenth week in the UK, the film has grossed so far approximately 4.5 million dollars (20 crores and counting). If that isn't awesomeness what is? West Is West premieres in Mumbai on June 9 with some high profile celebrities attending one of the most successful British films of all time. It's time to see how the East reacts to this one now!

Is Shah Rukh being taken too lightly?

When Shah Rukh Khan announced plans for his production Always Kabhi Kabhi, he would have expected that no one would dare release alongside his teen romantic comedy set in a school campus. However this hasn't quite happened, what with as many as half a dozen other films vying for attention on the same day, hence resulting in a crowded situation. This has also raised a pertinent question around whether filmmakers in the B-Town are willing to take a risk by being no more scared of the competition, despite Shah Rukh's name involved.

"It is surprising to see that despite Shah Rukh announcing Always Kabhi Kabhi for 17th June release way in advance, there are three notable films - Bheja Fry 2, Bin Bulaye Baarati and Bhindi Baazaar Inc ready to take it heads on", says a trade source, "This is not all as three small time films like Chitkabrey - The Shades of Grey (an art house affair), My Husband's Wife (seemingly a C grade affair) and The Green Chic (an animation film) are line as well. This is shocking."

Of course most of the aforementioned films would be seeing a small release for themselves with only Bheja Fry 2 proving to be a good competition.

"Bheja Fry was a huge hit and there is a tremendous recall value that the film carries", a source adds, "The sequel is bound to take a positive opening. It will certainly not be a pushover despite Shahrukh doing well with his marketing and promotion team ensuring good visibility and release for Always Kabhi Kabhi."

Bin Bulaye Baarati may throw in a surprise as well, what with 'Shalu Ke Thumke' enticing audience in the single screen belt, courtesy Madame Sherawat. On the other hand Bhindi Baazaar Inc boasts of a terrific set of actors and its hard hitting promos have hinted that this could be yet another Yeh Saali Zindagi of the year.

"You still can't deny the fact that Shah Rukh Khan has been an undisputed 'baadshah' for at least a decade now. When he stands up, everyone follows. Rest assured, he will get the best screens and show timings for Always Kabhi Kabhi", says an official at a premier multiplex chain, "Of course even Shah Rukh would have preferred to arrive sans any clutter as there is good competition from a film or two. I see Bheja Fry 2 as the biggest challenge of them all."

Roshan Abbas, director of Always Kabhi Kabhi, is undeterred. "This isn't a formula film we have made. In the times when films like Tanu Weds Manu, Band Baaja Baaraat, Udaan and Phas Gaye Re Obama are making waves, Always Kabhi Kabhi couldn't have been better timed."

One wonders whether others in the competition bear similar sentiments.

'Ready' has biggest opening for non-festive period

Now let's talk facts and figures… Salman Khan is competing with himself. DABANGG set new records last year in its opening weekend and READY is expected to give a tough fight to that film, as far as the numbers are concerned. The opening day figures have started pouring in and as per initial trends, READY is expected to surpass the first day business of 3 IDIOTS [Rs 13 cr] and TEES MAAR KHAN [Rs 12.75 cr].

While READY is much ahead of 3 IDIOTS and TEES MAAR KHAN in several circuits like C.P., C.I. and Rajasthan, it's slightly behind DABANGG in these circuits. What's interesting is that 3 IDIOTS and TEES MAAR KHAN were released during Christmas and DABANGG during Eid, while READY has opened during non-festive period and if the numbers of READY are bigger and better than 3 IDIOTS and TEES MAAR KHAN, it's akin to a big achievement.

This writer had predicted yesterday, almost 18 hours ago, that READY Friday numbers should be in Rs 13.5 cr to rs 14 cr range and looks like the prediction might just come true. It's expected to be in that range, which makes it the No. 2 opener of all times, after DABANGG. However, it's the biggest opener for non-festive period.

Celebrity Cricket League excites Salman

After the ICC World Cup 2011 and IPL 2011, here comes the Celebrity Cricket League that promises to be bigger and better. With the biggest stars in the country taking on the field, sports has never been this glamourous. For the first time ever, four film fraternities — Tollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood and Bollywood will play in a T-20 format in this star-studded Cricket League.

And it's all to promote a good cause. The initiative aims to raise awareness on piracy and ways to combat it. As per last year's statistics, the Indian entertainment industry lost over Rs 4,000 crore and 6,00,000 jobs due to piracy. Beginning June 4, in Bengaluru, the first edition of the CCL will unfold. The finals will be held in Hyderabad on June 12.

The league matches promise to be a starry affair all the way. The Telugu Warriors, led by Venkatesh has names like Vishnu, Tarun, Siddarth, Srikanth and Nitin, among others playing for it. Vishnu Manchu owns the team.

The Mumbai Heroes owned by Sohail Khan Entertainment, has Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood, Harman Baweja, Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Kunal Khemu and Mahesh Manjrekar among others. The team will be captained by Suniel Shetty.

Chennai Rhinos, led by Suriya, boasts of names like Madhavan, Abbas, Vishal and others. The team is owned by Prasad MD of GVR Infra and Raja Rao Chairman Prathyusha Group.

Karnataka Bulldozers, led by Sudeep, is owned by Ashok Kheny, industrialist-cum-producer, who is the owner of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE).

Genelia D'Souza, Sonakshi Sinha, Shriya Saran, Priyamani, Charmee, Taapsee, Samantha, Andrita and Ragini bring in the oomph factor to CCL.

"The idea was to combine two popular Indian religions, Bollywood and cricket, to produce great entertainment for the Indian audience. The film fraternities from South India and Bollywood will battle against each other for the cricket cup," says Sohail.

Word is out that Salman Khan will take his shirt off if his team wins. "I will be there to cheer for our boys. It will be as competitive as any other cricket tournament," he says.

All matches are covered on the Sahara network and tickets for the opening matches in Bengaluru have already been sold out. Sonu Nigam along with 1,200 folk dancers from Karnataka will be performing at the opening ceremony.

My kids are going to see 'Ready'

Though Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are rivals, SRK did not hesitate to speak about Sallu’s upcoming film, ‘Ready. Shahrukh said that he has seen two songs ‘Dhinka Chika’ and ‘Character Dheela’ from ‘Ready and liked them very much. "I have seen two songs of Ready....they are good," he stated.

When asked if he is going to watch the film or not, Shahrukh cleared that he is not sure if he will watch Ready, but his kids are all set for the action. "My children are going to see the film day after tomorrow. I think it will be a very nice film," he added.

The two Khans have starred screen space in the past but their relationship turned sour in 2008 at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash. Later, Salman stated publicly, “SRK and I can never be friends" while Shahrukh commented, "Salman and I don't talk which is absolutely right."

Ranbir feels shy to face his parents

Ever since Ranbir Kapoor debuted with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’, he has been lined with almost each heroine he has been paired opposite, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Nargis Fakhiri and Angela Johnsson. His list of women seems never ending. He has been fed-up of his link-up stories every other day and feels shy to carry the tag of Casanova. His parents really worried about Ranbir’s image and feared that it might not spoil his career. Ranbir too feels awakard to face his family after so much loose talks.

He wants to get rid of his lover boy image and has stopped socializing with friends. He cares about his family reputation and stopped dating. Ranbir said that his parents are upset about his link-up stories published very often and now he is answerable to them.

A source from the industry tells us, "Ranbir didn't really realise that his dating scene would affect him so much. He would ask out whichever girl he fancied. He forgot that he is a public figure and he cannot continue doing what he did back in college. So the media reported about every date that he we went for. This is a lesson for him to be more discreet rather than getting upset that it is being reported."

His best friend Imran Khan defended Ranbir saying, “not so clean” image. Imran had said, "If he enjoys life, wine, women... there`s nothing bad about it. Ranbir`s not doing anything illegal, but if media wants to write about it, you can`t stop them."

Sonakshi donates KBC money to Salman's charity

Sonakshi Sinha who sat on the hot seat of Bhojpuri version of KBC hosted by her father Shatrughan Sinha has donated a good sum of the prize money to Salman Khan's charity ‘Being Human’. Salman means a lot to Sonakshi. She idolizes the actor and respects him from heart. She even walked the ramp for ‘Being Human’ and spotted wearing the ‘Being Human’ T-shirt in various occasions.

The show is being hosted by her father Shatrughan Sinha. Says the Dabangg actress, "It's a charity I know, trust and believe in. I've seen the money move in the right direction. A lot of us want to help the needy. But how to ensure the money gets to the right place? I know the money is used to help those who need it."

On the show, Sonakshi spoke in Hindi while her dad in Bhojpuri. "I had never seen him talk in Bhojpuri. He did it very well. I'm looking forward to doing a film with my dad." Sonakshi did not reveal the amount she has donated.

Shahid, Priyanka unknown to each other

Post break-up, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has again come together for Kunal Kohli’s next. Though on-screen light still sparks between them,off-screen the couple behave like strangers. They even refused to rehearse together.

When the director signed the two, love was at the peak but who knows before the film comes into floor, love would disappear.

"The relationship is over. And though Kunal Kohli had full faith in Shahid and Priyanka's professionalism, he was wondering what the aftermath of the break up would be for his film. He needn't have worried. The pair is absolutely professional on camera. It is off-camera that the aloofness between the two becomes easily discernible," a source told.

Despite, break-up the actors give their best on-camera but as soon as the light switched off, they behave like strangers. Their conversation on the set was very minimal. "The interaction between them is minimal, almost nil. Once they give their shots, they are strangers to one another. Considering the film has essentially two characters- Shahid and Priyanka- running through a gamut of emotions and spectrum of characters, the effort required to share a mutual passion on screen is a task," added the source.

"The passion onscreen seems to almost mock the lack of feeling between the two off camera," informed the source.

Hope, despite split-up they can pull the audience with their on-screen chemistry.

Salman: Aamir is no.1 in Bollywood

B-town muscle man Salman Khan has given the best opening in Bollywood in the last two years but the favourite of the masses has rated Aamir as no.1 in Bollywood. And that̢۪s not all, the Bollywood macho man with a heart bigger than his biceps even complimented Aamir on his intelligence by calling him 'encyclopedia'.
Well, all this happened in a press meet of Salman Khan Being Human (SKBH) production's maiden venture 'Chiller Party' in association with UTV.
Salman launched the first promo of 'Chillar Part'y on the day his 'Ready' film released, wearing a T-shirt that read "Are you Ready for Chillar Party".
Salman was in his known spirit and the satisfaction from the response from 'Ready' was evident in his body language and mannerisms.
While launching the first look Salman said, "I saw Chillar Party, loved it and got on to a running train."
Salman said he is proud to be associated with 'Chillar Party 'as co-producer with Ronnie Screwvala. His banner name was for the first time seen on celluloid called Salman Khan Being Human.
In an extremely jovial mood, he spoke about the significance of this film and how it is important to him. His share of profits will go to charity organization.

The film describes how things revolve around their lives making each other an inseparable part of Chillar Party.
Overall Salman Khan promised everyone that they would thoroughly enjoy 'Chillar Party' as it is a funny, masti filled, humourous film releasing on 8th July, 2011.

All work, no play for Bollywood stars

The society bees may be away holidaying to beat the Mumbai heat, Bollywood however is not having any of it. Hectic shooting schedules are ensuring that they put all vacationing plans on a hold.

“From this month, Bollywood has a slew of releases and most actors are working overtime to get their films ready, so they can concentrate on the marketing and promotional activities of their other films when the time comes,” informs trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Even if some films are releasing next year, shooting for them have already begun.

Of the Khan brigade, actor Shah Rukh Khan has started the promotion rounds of Ra.One, while Aamir, Saif and even young turk Imran are busy with their films. Akshay Kumar is busy with Joker, while Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Barfee and his ad shoots in London. John Abraham has Shristi Arya’s film and Shahid Kapoor has Kunal Kohli’s next.

Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt are busy shooting for Agneepath in Diu, while Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor are away shooting for Tez in London. Abhishek Bachchan is busy too, while Sr Bachchan, Amitabh is busy with the promotional activities for Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap.

Equally busy are the actresses. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan begins shooting on Heroine and Vidya Balan on Dirty Picture. Kareena Kapoor is juggling back-to-back shoots of Bodyguard, Short Term Shaadi and Agent Vinod, while Katrina Kaif’s busy with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangna Ranaut, Sonakshi Sinha and Bipasha Basu too are busy shooting.

With Bollywood working around the clock, the actors are hardly left with any time to party or vacation. “The season is thanda on the social circuit, but there’s enough action happening on the work front to keep B-Towners busy for the right reasons,” says an industry observer.

Big B calls Prakash Jha 'Khatron Ka Khiladi'

New Delhi: Filmmaker Prakash Jha doesn't believe in only saying "action" behind the camera but he is the one who can go to any length to get a perfect shot. This is why even Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan often calls him "Khatron Ka Khiladi".

The 68-year-old star is working with Prakash for the first time in Aarakshan and he saw the filmmaker shooting on the edge of a bridge without support and on a crane 50 feet above the ground just to get the perfect shot.

But this daredevil attitude did get Prakash into trouble twice during shooting.
Firstly, while taking a shot under the bulldozer, the driver didn't hear the "stop" and almost ran over him and second time he had an accident on a scooter.
This didn't dampen the spirits of the filmmaker who jokingly told his crew: "You've made me fall, but don't think I have fallen from grace."
Aarakshan is based on the controversial policies of caste-based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. Apart from Amitabh, it features Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar.
The film will hit theatres Aug 12.

Ready for more

A two-year gap is huge, especially when there are youngsters clamouring to be part of Bollywood. But trust Asin to get back in the reckoning in style. Busy with the promotions of Ready (remake of the Telugu film Ready) with Salman Khan, the effervescent actor is packing her bags for a month-and-a-half stay in London for her film Housefull 2 opposite Akshay Kumar and is also bracing herself to face Shah Rukh Khan in the film adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's “2 States.” Ask her if she is all set to pull out one ace after another in Bollywood, and she says, “I just feel happy and blessed that I am working with actors of such repute. First Salman and next up is my film with Akshay. Not just that, the banners I am working with are also huge. As for 2 States, I wouldn't like to comment.”

A picture of confidence, Asin knows now is the time to make up for her last film's dismal box office report. Bollywood's been a mixed bag; while Ghajini made a huge impact, the big-budgeted London Dreams didn't fire anybody's imagination and, except for television commercials, the actor has not been seen in a single movie since 2009. Does she regret the decision to move to the Hindi film industry when she was at her peak in Tamil films? “I think it was a good decision,” reiterates Asin. “But it isn't like people think; I hadn't planned my move to Bollywood, though I will agree that the scope of reaching out to a larger audience exists in the Hindi film industry. I was approached by the producers who were thinking of remaking Ghajini and I saw no harm in being part of this wonderful team,” says the actor, denying any ambition of shifting to Mumbai for work then.

“I'd like to believe I am an actor of Indian cinema, and I have a soft spot for cinema in the South as it gave me the opportunity to explore myself as an actor,” she says, when asked about her plans to continue in southern films. “I have a lot of offers coming in for Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films, but I seriously think I should choose with care. I have done several films in the South and don't want to repeat myself. The day I get something new and exciting, I will sign it,” she says, adding she hasn't currently green lighted any regional project.

Despite the failure of London Dreams, she has got another chance to work opposite Salman. An opportunity any other actor would have given her right arm for? Asin chuckles, “Having worked with Salman twice, I can say I am armless!” Speaking about her co-star, she says, “As an actor, Salman is a challenge to work with because he throws anything at you once the camera rolls. You have to think on your feet and be ready for anything, he is that spontaneous. As a person, Salman is absolutely unpretentious. It's difficult to believe that a person like this exists in the world of showbiz.” In Ready, Asin plays Sanjana (essayed by Genelia D'Souza in the original) who falls in love with Prem (Salman) and has to fend off the greedy intentions of some of her relatives who are eyeing her wealth. The focus is clearly on Salman in this one, with Asin admitting that the Telugu script has been tweaked to not only suit North Indian sensibilities but also Salman's superstar status. Doesn't it make her insecure that consequently the hero is hogging the limelight when it comes to promotions? “It's a reflection of our male-dominated society. A commercial format naturally focusses on the hero. I have no problems with that. I am happy with the space I am occupying. Also I think that as a superstar, Salman deserves every bit of the adoration and space he is getting.”

The actor says she hasn't been influenced in the least by Genelia's portrayal of Sanjana. “I had watched the original film casually even before I was approached to do it. I have followed Anees Bazmee's (director, Ready) vision of the story and the character.”

Stories abound in tinsel town that Asin's refusal to wear revealing clothes and be part of intimate scenes is proving to be a hindrance to her career. Ask her about it, and her reply is straightforward. “I am not aware of this but at the same time I am comfortable only in a certain setup. There is a thin line dividing the aesthetic and the vulgar. I will do only what I am comfortable with. As for intimate scenes, nobody has yet approached me for any such so that's merely speculation. My career will run with or without such support,” she asserts

John recommends Prachi Desai for Kapil Sharma’s next Ishaan

John Abraham is very excited about Kapil Sharma’s forthcoming directorial debut titled Ishaan where he’ll play a womanizer, and can’t wait for filming to begin. The movie was initially being promoted as a John and Chitrangada Singh starrer, but I can now confirm that Prachi Desai has also been brought in for a pivotal role in the film. In fact, it was John who recommended Prachi’s name after watching her in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai! If that isn’t enough, Ishaan’s producer Shrishti Behl Arya is hunting for other PYT’s for John to court on screen.
