With a summer so packed with superhero action, it’s going to take something quite special to stand out from the crowd. Fortunately, as we can see from this new TV spot from TheMovieBox, it seems that CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER is up to the task.
The Cap’, who was also the star of an ill-fated adaptation in 1990, is the latest in a long line of Marvel Comics based movies, and will build towards the star studded AVENGERS, due in cinemas next summer. Set in World war 2, the film follows the story of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), who undergoes a process to become a ‘super soldier’ and battles the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving). Captain America remains one of Marvel’s most interesting characters and has been involved in some great stories over the years. THN is confident that the film can replicate this, and will the prove the latest success from the surprising efficient Marvel Studios.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER is directed by Joe Johnston and is released July 29th
