Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar, who will be hosting the fourth season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' (KKK),performed a 'live' stunt here at the Filmcity to assert that no doubles were used in the TV show and all of its was "real". "I am doing something this sort of stunt after almost five years so I was little apprehensive. It was the most difficult act I have ever done in all these years so there is a feeling of satisfaction. By doing a live stunt, all I wanted to prove was that whatever stunts we do in our show is real and no double is used," Akshay told reporters here.
The 43-year-old actor first came on a bike wearing a fire-proof suit, chanting the Gayatri Mantra before returning in a car that burst into flames after a distance, only to emerge out of it safely, last evening while promoting KKK-4. Also, while doing the stunt I was reminded that I would be the driving force for my contestants during the show, he said adding "The stunt I did is special to me."
The fourth season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' starts today on Colors Channel. The first two seasons were hosted by Akshay while the third saw actress Priyanka Chopra as the host.
The show will see 13 celebrity participants comprising former Indian women's cricket captain Anjum Chopra, models Diandra Soares, Alesia Raut and Poonam Pandey, actresses Aarti Chhabria, Smita Bansal and Aashka Goradia, item girls Sambhavna Seth and Kashmera Shah, two VJs Bani and MiUyeda, singer Mauli Dave and Dina Singh who is actor Vindu Dara Singh's wife.
"'Khatron Ke Khiladi's-Torchaar' is adventure at its torturous best. This season is not just about spectacular stunts that ask contestants to prove their physical prowess, but also about stunts that test contestants psychologically," Ashvini Yardi, Head of Programming Colors said. KKK is the Indian version of the international show 'Fear Factor' and will be held in Cape Town this year. (PTI)
