Arunoday to romance Aishwarya in ‘Heroine’

Earlier tinsel town was abuzz that Abhishekh Bachchan would be best suited for the role.

Putting all rumors to rest, Madhur Bhandarkar has opted for Arunoday Singh, who will now play the male lead in the film.

‘Heroine’ is a realistic and unapologetic portrayal of an actor’s life in Bollywood. This provides a voyeuristic look into the glamorous world which is filled with shocking accounts of our film stars.

Madhur Bhandarkar has already announced the film with lot of fanfare in Cannes Film Festival.

Madhur’s ambitious ‘Heroine’ filled with controversy
Gossip columns are filled with alleged affairs between cricketers and actresses. Similarly, ‘Heroine’ will have Arunoday playing the role of a cricketer, who shares a romantic relation with Aishwarya.

One of the sources in the industry said, "The character is of an ace cricketer who is going around with this top actress. The whole casting is kept hush-hush and the inspiration is not disclosed.“

As Madhur wants to cash in on the controversial incidents in the film industry, ’Heroine’ boasts of number of love-making scenes.

But according to sources, Aishwarya has asked her director to make certain changes to the script, as she is not comfortable doing certain love-making scenes in the film.

Arunoday has been critically acclaimed for his performances in films like ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi, Aisha and Sikander.

Arunoday has been a great fan of Madhur’s prior films ‘Chandni Bar’ and ‘Page3’. He believes Madhur is a great director who can bring out the best in any actor.

Arunoday is very excited about the project, he said, “Yes I am doing the film and I am over the moon. I can't speak anything about the character but it feels great to be acting opposite Aishwarya Rai. Madhur is a wonderful director and I don't need to say that."
